Family and Medical Leave Act
Employees at companies with 50 or more employees working within a 75 mile
radius are entitled to unpaid leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act
(FMLA) for the birth or adoption of a child. Employees who have worked at
least 12 months and 1,250 hours (i.e., approximately 25 hours per week) are
eligible for this leave, which may last up to 12 weeks.
