Samantha Mc Lane Alejos is an attorney from
Mexico. Since the beginning of her professional studies, she became instantly
involved with the promotion and expansion of the human rights of women. Her
first international experience with gender and immigration was at California
State University (Northridge) where she studied for a semester with the support
of a NAFTA scholarship for, The Program for North American Mobility in
Higher Education.
After completing her law degree, her passion and commitment to gender issues
resulted in her receipt of an invitation to work at the Instituto de la Mujer
Guanajuatense, Mexico, the first institution of its kind, which advocated the
inclusion of gender equity in public policies as well as the empowerment of
women in all social spheres.
Currently, Samantha is special counsel to Tuckner, Sipser, Weinstock & Sipser,
LLP, as an associate attorney as well as one of Tuckner Sipser's resident
bloggers. She is pursuing a specialization in immigration, women's workplace
issues and employment discrimination in the United State as she continues to
pursue her dream, goal and aspiration to gain the achievement of equality for
all women.
